Hi there! I’m a banker by day, and when I am not at my day job, I am working on salsa as a aspiring entrepreneur, and this is our website. We live in Fort Worth Texas, have a passion for good food , and I believe the spicier the better.
Top Shelf Salsa LLC was formed in 2019, and has been proving that being the new kid on the block doesn’t mean we lack in experience or quality of our product. Nearly 40 years ago in Houston Texas, I was introduced to traditional Mexican salsa. Moises and family, who lived next door to us would always invite us to a Sunday dinner. We were new to the area and Moises and his wife Adelida treated us like family and invited us into their home every weekend for a traditional meal that was surely not tex-mex.
Our Salsas are freshly made and packaged at Mar-Cosina Tex-Mex to Gourmet Restaurant and they only serve Top Shelf Salsa. If you want a dine in experience with an at home feel, then you owe it to yourselves to give Mar-Cosina’s a try. Plenty of patio dining so you can be safe while enjoying a great meal.
I learned fast that salsa can be just as hot or hotter on exit; but I loved it just the same. Over time I began making salsa to impress my new best friend next door. I would continue to try and impress Moises with my salsa making skills having him taste each new batch. Moises was a tough cookie and he was quick to let me know I had work to do so when I got that “smile that only he could pull off” with smiling eyes cheeks puffed and a grin that seemed to stretch from ear to ear, I had finally impressed him and a passion was born.
After our moving away with my job, I would continue to make salsa and use it to make some really creative dishes that family and friends would try.
After hearing for the umpteenth time that I should be selling my salsas I decided to give it a go. I personally hope you enjoy each bite you take as much as I enjoyed making it for you.
